Guest Photo: Common Sand Boa

This photo just came to us via Chaitanya Shukla in India.  Earlier this morning, after a night of rain, he came across a Common Sand Boa (Gongylophis conicus). 

This one was a juvenile and apparently, according to Chaitanya, it was very feisty little fellow. It did manage to tag him and when it was finished biting (hehehe), the snake re-adjusted his teeth just like vipers.  What you see in the photo, is a picture of the boa adjusting its jaw.
